We’re celebrating our students who are speaking up, getting things done, passing it forward and transforming our community by coaching, mentoring, teaching, volunteering and interning.

By doing just that, this year our students have impacted 14,600 youth and volunteered 5,000+ hours in our community.

TGFT Scholars and staff celebrating International Day of the Girl at Kiranyi Secondary School.
On International Day of the Girl, TGFT hosted a community event at Kiranyi Secondary School to champion Girls Vision for the Future - to protect, respect and empower girls.
1,938 teachers, boys and girls recognized the power of girls everywhere. During the celebration everyone pitched in to clean the school’s campus.
We are celebrating:
4 secondary school graduates
2 high school graduates
1 university graduate
3 new students in our Sponsorship Program
3 students studying in med school
10 alumnae who are employed

The Girls Foundation of Tanzania is one of the only programs that supports girls longitudinally for 10 years. Our model is unique as we provide residencies during school breaks at The Girls Center.
For us, success looks like our first graduates: a social worker, a medical officer, a nurse, a researcher, a science teacher, a math teacher, a tax accountant, and an entrepreneur.

We learn best when we learn together!
