Philipina lives with her parents who have 9 children. Her parents own 2 cows and have a small vegetable farm near their home. During primary school her parents struggled to pay for her school fees. Her aunt provided some support until she was let go from her job. Philipina is a strong students and was in the top 5 students in primary school.

When Philipina is studying at The Girls Center she's usually the first to volunteer to help with a big smile. She's ambitious and wants to be a civil engineer.
